The organization also monitors and promote provision of, access to and use of up to date sexual reproductive health service including provision of diverse products with less side effects and provision of information in accessible format that include braille and videos with sign language interpretation su. ICOD Zimbabwe is working with women and women with disabilities in raising awareness and monitoring Gender Based Violence.

The ICODZIM provide emergency shelter to women survivors of Gender Based Violence, make referrals ,provides psycho social support and advocate for accessible justice systems to women and girls with disabilities who are survivors of GBV.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Gender Based Violence

ICODZIM advocates for the provision and accessibility to comprehensive SRH products and services by all women in different communities and especially hard to reach areas and by the most vulnerable and marginalised women.

ICODZIM therefore pushes for inclusive provision of SRHR taking cognizant of the needs of women with disability,Inorder to achieve this ICODZIM advocate for policy change ,review and implementatiom of policies and instruments such as ,National Sexual Reproductive Health policies, domestication and implementation of regional, continental and international treaties and conventions ratified and signed that speaks to SRHR of women and girls. 

 

Natural Resource Governance

The ICOD Zim focuses on rights-based and socially inclusive approaches to conservation for effective natural resource management and its contribution to human wellbeing and biodiversity.

 

ICODZIM focus on ensuring women have access and ownership to natural resources including occupying leadership position and spaces that determines access and utilisation of natural resources and these include community share ownership trusts and social cooperate responsibility committees .

 

ICODZIM therefore offers programs to protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural and modified ecosystems that address societal challenges effectively and adaptively, simultaneously providing human wellbeing and biodiversity benefits.

Democracy & Gorvenance

For ICOD Zim, decisions which the central government makes, local authorities and solution holders is fundamental to ensuring that democracy delivers for women and women with disabilities.

 

In an ideal world, strong democratic governance is characterized by transparency and accountability in both the public and private sectors. An open, participatory governance process responds to women and women with disability needs, resulting in better and fairer government policies.

 

To this end, ICOD democratic governance programs promote open, informed public decision-making and principled corporate governance towards women and women living with disabilities.
